Run Fat Girl Run! Part 2

We won 3rd place for our division! Crossing the finishing line is amazing and somehow out of nowhere - you get an extra boost to run over the line. Now at peace with a big smile that I finished my 2nd triathlon - all 800 meter swim, 11.3 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run/walk is now over. We competed in the Mixed Friends 99 and over category which had 4 teams and 1 team didn't finish. All experienced triathletes will say that it is an accomplishment to just finish your first triathlon. Guess what?

A Good Kick in the A*S

A Good Kick in the A*S: Today, I had the fortunate experience of working out, picking up my race packet, and eating lunch with my good friend and mentor Roger. Not your average friend by any stretch of the imagination and sometimes when you need a good kick in the a*s - best to get it from one of your best friends. As stated in an earlier post, I'm doing a triathlon this Sunday. Not just any one but the Couples Triathlon with Roger.

Run Fat Girl Run!

With my 2nd triathlon ever - I have swim, bike, and run/walk on the brain. While some haven't seem me in a while (sorry all my LA friends), I have gained and lost a lot of weight. It was really depressing as a former amateur model to at one time weigh 240 lbs. While modeling, I didn't have the healthiest weight either but never had the medical complications that I have had in the recent years due to being heavy. How did I get that heavy -> Go get a job and be in a full-time MBA program. It seems that I actually needed all those Venti Lattes with soy.
